My family and I tried the restaurant out for the first time, Friday February the 7th. My dad ordered the fish and I personally think it had too much seasoning on it, the seasoning was overpowering the fish. I was also disappointed in the gumbo, I come from Louisiana so I am use to a certain way gumbo is made. The crawfish that was used to garnish the gumbo was overcooked, I could tell because it was falling apart as I peeled the tail. I ordered the steak fritz and was disappointed in it too. I wanted medium rare and it was cooked well done. The shrimp and grits were good though. I feel as though this restaurant is trying to throw a fancy and classy vibe but to me just be what your name it. Cook soul food (country food). This place really does have potential.
